Kids music that won’t drive parents bonkers!

If you have young kids or grand kids, (or if you work with youngsters at your church), you know that children’s music can make you or break you. You can only hear “The Wheels on the Bus” so many times before you want to rip your ears off!

logoSeveral years ago, my in-laws discovered the Go Fish Guys – an awesome group of musicians whose passion is to make Christ-centered music for kids “that won’t drive their parents bonkers!”

And let me tell you, they. are. awesome!!

We have all of their CD’s and have listened to countless hours of their music. They have a unique gift of creating music that appeals to both kids and adults. My kids have always begged for their music to play in the car, and it’s so good, I’ve caught myself listening to it at times when they’re not even with me!

They’ve recorded Christian classics like “I’ll Fly Away” and “The Old Rugged Cross” as well as originals like “Bible Book Bop.” They’ve even somehow managed to make “Five Little Monkeys” and “Itsy Bitsy Spider” catchy and appealing. Somehow, after six years of listening to their songs, I’m still not sick of them!

If you’ve not yet experienced the Go Fish Guys, you’re missing out! I encourage you to get a few of their CD’s or download their songs from iTunes. I promise you will love them as much as we do, and your only complaint will be that you didn’t know about them sooner!

Q: What’s your favorite Go Fish song? What are some other Christian CD’s for kids that you would recommend?

    Good morning Emily.
The very first songs & video that we bought for our, (the count is now at 10), grand kids is the Praise baby series. It’s GREAT for babies through 4-5! Then we pretty much bought up all the veggie Tale series based on bible stories. From there we found the Cedarmont kids, 4-9, song & video series & all the kids loved them….still do. But lately I’ve been looking for some “older” music for the fixing to be 10 year old & the Gofish sounds really good. But , I think, the overall best investment we made was the “Nest Family’s” DVD bible story series. Papa bought this before the first grandchild was born & we’re still watching them now with the oldest going on 10 & the three youngest who’re 2. There’s also the 10 Commandments, the 4 part stories of the life of Jesus through the New Testament…..these are the 2 year olds favorites. And for parents, with young children, that are just coming to know Christ this is a GREAT way to learn “”with”” your kids.
Thanks for the new “”sounds”” to checkout. But I already know if y’all like them, I will to. ;-0). Have a great & blessed rest of the week.

Thanks for the recommendations Debbie! Those all sound awesome and I haven’t heard of them all. I’m eager to try the videos you mentioned; I’m getting a little tired of singing veggies! 🙂

So awesome! We’ve seen them once in concert and they’re coming back this summer. Love these guys–their music is top notch, but I really LOVE their hearts 🙂
