About once a month, I get together with my Bunco group. Only, the truth is, we haven’t actually played Bunco in about five years. But we still call it Bunco night because I guess it sounds less selfish and needy than what it really is – MOMS’ NIGHT OUT!
So last week, for Bunco Moms’ Night Out, we watched the newest movie in the world of Christian film making, the oh-so-hilarious Moms’ Night Out.
- If you have ever had Cheerios stuck in your cleavage, you need to see this movie.
- If you have ever found your moisturizer riding in the back of a Little People school bus, you need to see this movie.
- If you know 101 ways to serve Nutella, you need to see this movie.
- If your idea of an “escape” is going to the bathroom with the door closed, you need to see this movie.
- Basically, if you are a mom, or if you have ever had a mom, you need to see this movie.
It made me laugh – a lot – and reminded me that I’m not alone in this crazy world called Motherhood. It is hard, it is exhausting, and sometimes it feels like all my efforts are fruitless. But I’m not in it alone. God has surrounded me with a wonderful husband, fabulous family and lots of friends who are in it with me. And then there’s the best cohorts of the journey – my children.
If you see the movie and want even more resources, check out the Moms’ Night Out site for some awesome encouragement. Also available are:

Finally, if you want to weigh in on the [ridiculous] controversy that the movie is stirring up in Hollywood, read what some critics are saying about it.
Have you seen the movie? What did you think about it?
I cannot wait to see this!!!
